Throwback Thursday Movie: The Departed

The Departed is definitely one of my top 10 movies of all the time. It has everything a good cops and gangsters movie needs, a compelling plot, interesting characters, intrigue and plot twists. The film was released in 2006 and directed by Martin Scorsese. The film is inspired by the 2002 Hong Kong movie “Infernal Affairs” however Scorsese adds his own style which can be see from the locations and theme. The plot centres around Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), a member of the Irish Mob in Boston that has infiltrated the state police department and Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio), a superstar police cadet who is sent undercover into the Mob. Both men are trying to remain true to themselves whilst living their double lives. Without spoiling anything, the tension ramps up progressively throughout the movie leaving you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. This is a must-see for anybody that loves crime and gangster movies.

Rating: 9.5/10

Yes, its Lucifer. how many of you have watched it? Did you like it or hate it? Lucifer is a Netflix Original urban fantasy series that previously aired on the FOX network. Thanks to FOX's cancelation of the title Netflix was there save the day ironically resurrecting the dark one back to life. This series follows Lucifer, the original fallen angel, who has become dissatisfied with his life in hell. After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, lucifer indulges in his favorite things (women, wine and music) until a murder takes place outside of his ritzy nightclub. For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer's soul that is bizarrely simila...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine was first aired on the Fox  Network back in 2013 till 2018 until late 2018 Fox decided to cancel the show until the NBC  revived the hit comedy tv show.  Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American police sitcom featuring an immature, carefree cop  named Jake Peralta, despite his immaturity he still has the best arrest record in the precinct. The first episode starts off with glimpse of Jake Peralta’s true character as he becomes in  conflict with his new commanding officer Captain Raymond Holt. Further into the episode  the audience is introduced to several other characters, Rosa Diaz, Terry Jefford...
