Travis Scotts album 'Astroworld'

Album: Travis Scott "Astroworld" — ILLUSTR3US MUSIC GROUP

As a huge fan of modern-day rap music, I am proud to bring you a review on what might be one of my favourite blog posts I’ll do as I’ll be reviewing and expressing my thoughts and opinions on my favourite rap artist Travis Scott’s 3rd studio album ‘Astroworld’. As Travis’s 3rd produced album it is inarguably his strongest music he has produced. His skills as an artist helps forms a tacky, humid, psychedelic world with dazzling production and unexpected twists at every turn. After announcing that the album was in production back in 2016, Travis has left his large and growing fan base on edge since then, when the 3rdof August 2018 finally arrived, the rap community was prepared for one of his best albums to be released (and possibly the best rap album ever! In my opinion….)

Many rap gurus don’t respect the way Travis uses auto-tune in his previous albums such as ‘Rodeo’ with his top hit song ‘Antidote’ and his 2nd studio album ‘Birds in the Trap’ featuring his heavily auto-tuned song ‘beibs in the trap’. Many people criticise Travis for using auto-tune in many of his songs and automatically categorise the rapper as an autotuned rapper. However, if many people listened to many more of his songs, they will discover that Travis does not only use autotune but raps about many real-life situations and personal experiences allowing Travis to establish a connection with his fans and the community.

With many Travis fans not expecting to the rapper to release another album any time soon (as they are still listening to Astroworld on repeat till this day including me J) the album immediately opens up with a signature feel of a psychedelic world with the song “Stargazing” leaving fans will chills up and down their spines including myself as it reminds the community on the type of artist he has become over the past 4 years. Travis is becoming more respected as an artist thanks to Astroworld has Travis has taken a back seat in using autotune throughout the album, leaving the album to now be triple platinum certified on the ARIA chart thanks to his hit song ‘Sicko Mode’ featuring popular rapper Drake (I’m sure everybody’s heard this song by now!) as the song has made a name for itself all over the world with many beat switches throughout the song leaving it with a catchy vibes and lyrics such as “Out like a light”

Overall Astroworld is inarguably my favourite rap album since Travis’s first album Rodeo as each song is still on repeat till this day as I believe Travis has really proved himself as a artist and is not just another rapper who ‘raps with autotune’ but allows the community the actual artist he is and can be making references to his first born daughter with wife Kylie Jenner and even made a song on the album “R.I.P Screw” as a tribute to one of Travis’s closer friends DJ Screw who recently passed away. Overall the album has many tracks for those who are into the rap genre and for those who are not… Overall 10/10 for me definitely worth a listen to.

Welcome to hell

Tom Ellis AKA Lucifer Morningstar Now let me introduce you to one more of my favorite series on Netflix. Yes, its Lucifer. how many of you have watched it? Did you like it or hate it? Lucifer is a Netflix Original urban fantasy series that previously aired on the FOX network. Thanks to FOX's cancelation of the title Netflix was there save the day ironically resurrecting the dark one back to life. This series follows Lucifer, the original fallen angel, who has become dissatisfied with his life in hell. After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, lucifer indulges in his favorite things (women, wine and music) until a murder takes place outside of his ritzy nightclub. For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer's soul that is bizarrely simila...

Avengers: Endgame - A Celebration

22 movies. 11 years. All lead to this very moment. Wow. I honestly can not say I have experienced such incredibly vast emotions throughout a movie EVER. As a dedicated Marvel fan, I am one of the many fans who has seen ALL 22 Marvel films which have brought us to Avengers: Endgame. A 3-hour emotional rollercoaster, I could not be happier with how the Russo brothers decided to cap off this phase of the franchise, although I personally found it disheartening to be left with little insight into what they have planned for us in their next phase. We may have lost some of our favourite characters along the way (I will avoid saying who to avoid spoilers), but that is to be expected as these characters complete their arc. However, it was all worth it as a chapter in the Marvel universe comes to an end and another opens. A true testament to the success of the movie is its current box office revenue. Avengers: Endgame has cashed in, as of 6/5/2019, $2 billion, second all-time after Avata...
