This year has already started with a bang with the release of Avengers: Endgame, however there are many more great movies to see in the following months. Below I have compiled my top 3 upcoming movies for 2019 that are worth the trip to the cinema. 

1. Detective Pikachu

Based on the beloved videogame franchise, Detective Pikachu starts as ace detective Harry Goodman goes missing. His son Tim teams up with the adorable and wise-cracking Detective Pikachu to solve the mystery and discover clues in the sprawling Ryme City. However, their investigations reveal a heinous plot that could disrupt the peaceful co-existence of Pokemon and humans.

2. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

John Wick: Chapter 3 is the third and final movie in the hit action trilogy starring Keanu Reeves. The story picks up with the expert hitman John Wick on the run with a $14 million price tag on his head. An army of bounty hunters are searching for him after he killed a member of a secretive international’s assassins guild.

3. Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker!

This is a franchise that needs no introduction. Star Wars 9 is the highly anticipated final film in the latest Star Wars episodic trilogy. Director J.J. Abrams has been keeping the details under wraps but we can be assured that the surviving resistance will fight against the First Order’s new supreme leader, Kylo Ren.
